This tutorial was written for a vintage 2 device. Other vintages use different filenames.
Check current firmware:

Copy the new firmware image from your FTP server or other source:
Step Upgrade Requirement
Branch Gateways that are using a release prior to Release 7.1.2 Build 39.5.0 must first install Release 7.1.0.2 Build 38.21.0 or a later 38.x.y load. If you do not do this the system will display an error message
Incompatible software image for this type of device.

When it's back verify

Then upgrade:
G450-001(super)# copy ftp SW_imageA g450_sw_41_38_0.bin 172.31.100.5
Avaya Login confirmation must be completed by a Local Administrator
